Konstantina BANIA (PILC 2009) submitted her doctoral dissertation at the European University Institute, exploring how EU competition law can be applied so as to take account of media pluralism. The defence is planned for October-November. In the meantime, Konstantina is a Fellow at the Centre for Technology and Society at FGV Direito Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she is teaching a course on “Competition Policy in Digital Media”. To advance with her PhD research, Konstantina recently served as research fellow at the European Broadcasting Union in Geneva (Switzerland) and visiting scholar at Fordham Law School (New York).
